Food waste: From farm to fork… to garbage?
The seminar, part of the cycle L’Europe dans mon assiette / Europe on the menu, will deal with the issue of food waste in Europe, with a Swedish and French perspective.
Both speakers will address questions such as: What is the life cycle of Food? What are the social influences on food intake? What are the regulation / governance of Food Regulation? What is the role of the civil society and NGOs in mobilizing the various economic actors in the mobilization in the fight against food waste?

Daniel Zimmer is Director Innovation at Climate-KIC. Climate-KIC is one of three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) created in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Its mission is to create opportunities for innovators to address climate change and shape the world’s next economy.
Jan Lundqvist is Senior Scientific Advisor at Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). The Stockholm International Water Institute is a policy institute that generates knowledge and informs decision-making towards water wise policy and sustainable development.
Karin Lexén is Director for the World Water Week and Prizes is the leading annual global event for concretely addressing the planet’s water issues and related concerns of international development.
