French-Swedish Research Days 2025 at Stockholm University

The 2025 French-Swedish Research Day’s theme is CCUS: Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage.

CCUS is a process by which carbon dioxide (CO2) is removed from the atmosphere or separated before being released into the atmosphere, then used in a range of applications, or transported to a long-term storage location.

The objectives:

  • Implement the French-Swedish strategic innovation partnership for sustainable, digital and resilient societies, which was renewed on 30 January 2024, during the State visit of the President of the French Republic to Sweden;
  • Take stock of existing industrial and scientific cooperation in the field of CCUS with a view to strengthening it;
  • Promote and initiate specific collaborations between France and Sweden in the field of CCUS to contribute to European excellence and sovereignty in this area at several levels.

The program:

  • Session 1: Objectives and national strategies – Context and key figures.
  • Session 2: Industry round table – ambitions, challenges and opportunities on CCUS projects in Sweden and in France.
  • Session 3: Carbon capture – innovation and challenges
