FRENCH SWEDISH FOREST CONFERENCE
The University of Borås and the French Institute in Sweden – Embassy of France in Sweden and SLU organized the «French and Swedish cross views on forest conference » to discuss about conservation and forestry, the political dilemmas of forest bioeconomy, the functional role of large ungulates in forest ecosystems, biodiversity indicators, forest survey and remote sensing, the need for knowledge-based solutions to current and future sustainability challenges, forest management in the context of climate change, Circular bio-economy, Biodiversity and forestry and bioenergy.
The conference was intended as an opportunity for researchers from France and Sweden to present and discuss their work and the challenges they face. It was also an opportunity to meet and help finding partners for future projects. The conference had the ambition to have some insights from the innovation point of views and experiences.
The conference was in May, 30th and 31st, 2022 in SLU Umeå.
